ANTHONY MARTIAL SCORES MANCHESTER UNITED'S FIRST PREMIER LEAGUE HAT-TRICK SINCE ROBIN VAN PERSIE IN 2013

Anthony Martial became the first player to score a premier league hat-trick for Manchester United in seven years in a 3-0 defeat of Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

The last player to achieve that feat was Robin Van Persie way back in 2013.

The Red Devils manage a draw against Tottenham in their first game of premier league resumption but made light work of Sheffield United in this game.

Martial opened the scoring after just six minutes from close range before finishing well from an Aaron Wan-Bissaka cross just before half-time. He wrapped up his hat-trick after the break with another well-taken goal as the hosts made it 13 games unbeaten.

United move two points behind rivals Chelsea and are just ahead of Wolverhampton on goal difference as the race for European qualification gets more exciting.
