LEKKI ATTACK: COCA-COLA DONATES ₦20 MILLION TO COVER VICTIMS’ MEDICAL BILLS

Coca-Cola has donated the sum of ₦20 million to help defray the medical bills of victims of the Lekki Attack which took place on Tuesday, the 20th of October, 2020.  The American multinational beverage corporation and manufacturers of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups made the donation along with their bottling partners, Nigerian Bottling Company LTD. According to the information available on their verified Twitter handle on Friday, the donation was made to their NGO partner, Whitefield Foundation and will be used for the treatment the injured and those in critical conditions. ENDSARS: LAGOS LOSSES N234M TO TOLLGATE CLOSURE

According to a report by  PUNCH , The Lagos State Government has lost at least N234m to the closure of tollgates as the #EndSARS protests on the Island enters its 9th day. However, the state has continued to generate money from adverts at the toll plazas. The figure was obtained from the daily and monthly targets set for the tollgates by the government, which owns the tollgates, which are being managed by the Lekki Concession Company. A Lagos State commissioner, who wished to remain anonymous, told our correspondent that the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge was expected to generate about N10m daily, while the Admiralty Circle Plaza along the Lekki-Epe Expressway was not expected to generate less than N16.6m a day.
