COURTOIS HAS KEPT THE MOST CLEAN SHEET IN LA LIGA SO FAR

There is a saying that a good goalkeeper can save you points and so far, Thibault Courtois have proven that to Real Madrid this season.

It's no surprise that Real are top of the league and with the meanest defence in the division haven let in just 21 goals.

Last Sunday's hard fought 1-0 victory against bottom placed Espanol was the Belgian 15th clean sheet of the campaign placing him above Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak. 


With six matches to go, the side from the capital will need their shotstopper to remain in top form if they are to win what is just their third La liga title in Ten years.

Manchester City's forward Raheem Sterling insists black managers should be given a chance to manage top clubs too like their white counterparts. ASPAS LATE GOAL HOLDS BARCELONA

Celta Vigo forward, Iago Aspas curled home a late freekick to put a dent in Barcelona's title ambition. The former Liverpool man scored a fantastic freekick in a 2-2 draw at Balaidos extending Barcelona's winless run at the venue. It was always going to be a difficult ground  for the defending champions whose last victory at the stadium was in 2015. Barcelona came into the fixture knowing that a slip up could cost them dearly in the title race with arch rivals, Real Madrid playing Espanol a day later.
