Coca-Cola has donated the sum of ₦20 million to help defray the medical bills of victims of the Lekki Attack which took place on Tuesday, the 20th of October, 2020.  The American multinational beverage corporation and manufacturers of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups made the donation along with their bottling partners, Nigerian Bottling Company LTD. According to the information available on their verified Twitter handle on Friday, the donation was made to their NGO partner, Whitefield Foundation and will be used for the treatment the injured and those in critical conditions. According to a report by  PUNCH , The Lagos State Government has lost at least N234m to the closure of tollgates as the #EndSARS protests on the Island enters its 9th day. However, the state has continued to generate money from adverts at the toll plazas. The figure was obtained from the daily and monthly targets set for the tollgates by the government, which owns the tollgates, which are being managed by the Lekki Concession Company. A Lagos State commissioner, who wished to remain anonymous, told our correspondent that the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge was expected to generate about N10m daily, while the Admiralty Circle Plaza along the Lekki-Epe Expressway was not expected to generate less than N16.6m a day. The commissioner said the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge was not expected to generate less than N300m monthly, while the Admiralty Circle Plaza generates about N500m monthly. “At least 80,000 cars use the tollgates every day. The Kardashian family have announced the discontinuation of their Reality TV show Keeping up with Kardashians after a final season early next year. The announcement was made by Kim Kardashian on her official Twitter handle late on Tuesday night.  Kardashian wrote:  "To our Amazing fans It is with heavy hearts that we've made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to keeping up with the Kardashians.   Applications are open for eight young people to lead the charge in protecting and promoting human rights across the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Youth Human Rights and Democracy Network (CYHRDN) is seeking volunteers for its executive positions to serve from 2020 to 2022. A minister in the Lord's Chosen Church has been accused of raping two underaged sisters for years and finally impregnating them under the guise of casting out badluck from them. Pastor Nduka Anyanwu, who ministers in the Lord's Chosen Church, Canaan Land branch in Oshodi, allegedly impregnated the sisters aged 17 and 13. According to an NGO known as Stop The Abuse, Nduka allegedlyvbegan raping the younger girl when she was just 9 and began raping the older girl when she was 16. They also alleged that the parents of the girls knew but allowed the pastor to carry on because he told them it's the only way he could remove the "spiritual mark" on them that "repels good things". Typically, the scams involve fake accounts posing as high-profile Twitter users like Musk in order to hold giveaways. They request Twitter users send cryptocurrency to a digital address in order to receive a greater amount in return. Once the money is sent, it is nearly impossible for the victims to recover their funds due to the semi-anonymous nature of bitcoin making it difficult to trace the perpetrators. The Indian Government has announced that it has banned 59 mobile applications, including TikTok, WeChat, and Mi Community. The reason is, as stated in a press release, the Ministry of Information Technology “has received many complaints from various sources including several reports about the misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers which have locations outside India”. There were multiple reports from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) that these mobile apps are a threat to national security and risk to the privacy of Indian citizens.
